Investigation File #368 continued

Continues from Tiny Bond File #368- The case of the ghost.

I could hardly believe my eyes, I was actually seeing a ghost. "Nonsense" I thought aloud. But he knew since ghosts don't exist, that someone was behind this. He reminded himself to check over where the ghost had been later for clues. The many scared penguins ran away screaming heading towards the forest, while the more curious ones staid and took pictures. The ghost didn't like being a tourist attraction, because he shot something out of his hand. If I didn't know better I would of thought they were fireballs. But since I have a huge knowledge of guns, including futuristic ones I knew this was a Flamethrower model 276 made by a Jason Koboi Nacotoson from the South Pole. Very few people know about him, this "ghost" must have some good contacts. The "fireballs" shot everywhere and even the curious penguins ran away. I decided to take cover in case this "ghost" was looking for me.

I realized it was good thinking right when a flame ball shot over my head. I grabbed my P2K and ran making sure no flame balls hit me on the way to the forest. Strangley, the ghost didn't bother following me. Hmm...

Just then my train of thought died as Jack blasted out of the bushes. He looked very sweaty. "Where were you?" I inquired, sneaking a note book from my back pocket and grabbing a pen. "Did you see that ghost?!?!" Jack yelled. "Yes, and where were you when you did?" I asked while jotting down everything secretly in my note book. "ARE YOU ACCUSING ME OF DOING THIS?" he screamed. "Disagreing with things you dont know, first sign of being guilty" I thought to myself. Just then I spotted a tranquilizer gun on Jack's belt and remembered the name. "Jack the purse theif" I murmered. "Huh?" said Jack, "what did you say, I missed that." "Oh, Im just thinking aloud." I said quickly carefull not to alarm Jack. There was no need to realease his true idenity now. He had served his 3 years in jail and was out and free. Even though I expected him for this crime, I had to look for more evidence. However, this was still my first suspect.

Me and Jack put a crime scene line across the stairs connecting the forest and cove. I walked over to where the so called "ghost" used to be. At first glance there was nothing there, but then I spotted faint lines. Intresting. I poked at one of the lines with a wooden stick nearby. When I poked it I noticed that it wasnt a line after all, but was actually a costume from the latest halloween party. A ghost costume to be exact.
To be continued.....
